Denise DeBarros is currently a Graduation Coach at the Central Falls High School serving as a mentor for over-aged and under-credentialed students at risk of dropping out. Her mission is to ensure that they graduate. She works one-on-one with the students to ensure that all course work and the Senior Project are completed and passed with proficiency. In addition to her role as the Graduation Coach, she coordinates many district wide events in the city; Back To School Celebration, Community Holiday Dinner, Superintendent’s Monthly Forum, Parent Advisory Council Meetings, Community Fair, and the Parent College. In November of 2013 she founded the Cape Verdean Student Association at the Central Falls High School consisting of 28 members. 

Denise is very active in the community of Central Falls and beyond, and she serves on many committees as a Central Falls School District Representative: Back To School Celebration Steering Committee, Central Falls Prevention Coalition, Pawtucket/Central Falls Non-Violence Initiative, Pawtucket/Central Falls Roundtables, Father & Family Network of RI, Holiday Express Committee, Central Falls School District Wellness Committee Co-Chair, and Rhode Island LEP/ELL Advisory Council. Denise has been employed by the Central Falls School District for approximately 17 years. 

Denise holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Johnson & Wales University in Tourism and Hospitality Management with a concentration in Psychology.
